Wedding Rings

made 9/10/07
recalling 1985

While I was engaged to Craig, I was concerned about losing my Self by becoming a “wife.”

After a rain I sat under a tree by the pond.

Two drops of water fell from the branches at the same moment.

The concentric rings began to spread and I watched as they crossed each other joining but continuing–
each expanding as circles undisturbed.

I knew then we could both have creative growth in our lives while being married.
