I was running out of money in Guatemala City. I didn’t have enough for the 12 hour bus ride to Tikal – which was the main reason I went there.
A man asked if I spoke English, when I said yes, he offered me a job at Tikal. I became a tourist guide for 6 weeks at the “oldest and Largest Mayan ruin.”
